A historic event of global significance took place on the evening of Monday 22nd Jun 2015 in a sleepy corner of Godalming. At the end of a canoe taster session the brave and plentiful scouts of Camelsdale came together to create a raft that stretched from the boat house jetty across the full width of the Godalming and Guildford Wey Navigation to the bank on the other side.
It was on this momentous occasion that a WORLD RECORD (in Godalming) was achieved by two scouts. Toby and Aidan were the first scouts EVER (seen by the Colonel) in the history of the canoe club to deck run from one side of the river to the other.
