Arrive from 6.45pm for prompt 7pm start

All Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and their families are invited to our Family Quiz & Bingo evening.  Come along so your family can be crowned 1st Camelsdale Quiz Champions!  Or maybe you're a bingo ace?  We'll have prizes on the night......

To add to the excitement, during the evening each section will be giving a brief audio-visual presentation showing what they have been doing in the last year, and what the plans are for the coming year

There will be a cash bar selling wine, beer and soft drinks with free snacks and nibbles provided too

We'll also hold the AGM - approving the accounts for last year and appointing the Exec Committee (Chair, Secretary & Treasurer) - this part of the evening will be kept brief and should last no more than 30 minutes

Please let us know if you're coming via MyScout - we greatly appreciate your support in attending to continue the success of Scouting in Camelsdale.  Family members who are not Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are very welcome - please just let us know via MyScout how many adults and additional children are coming so that we can cater for everyone

Frantic 2015

Aptly titled, the once-every-three-years district camp for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides was held at the Hampton Estate at Seale last weekend (8-10th May). Just under 40 of our Cubs and Scouts joined the merry throng of over 1,000 youngsters and leaders.  There was something for everyone, with a field full of activities to enjoy as well as a hog roast supper, followed by campfire and disco on the Saturday evening. Hats off to the Frantic organisers for getting it all together. Thanks too to the Scout leaders for catering for our group - awesome breakfast!

Down on the farm

Camelsdale Beavers visited the Cowdray Farm estate and had a brilliant trip around the farm with their wonderfully knowledgeable farm manager David.

They saw the cows being milked and all the machinery they use and went on an amazing tractor ride around the farm, where we saw some of the estate, the polo ponies and the fields being prepared for the sowing of crops.

It was a really valuable experience for the Beavers to learn about where the food that they buy comes from and to understand that it isn't quite as clean on a farm as it is in a supermarket! (Obviously they enjoyed learning about what happens to the cows' poo almost as much as they enjoyed finding out about the milk!!)
